TripGo is an MCP server that connects AI clients to the SkedGo TripGo API to deliver comprehensive transit, routing, and location services. Built for developers, trip planners, and conversational assistants requiring multimodal transport data, it runs as a remote endpoint hosted on Cloudflare Workers. The server enables Model Context Protocol clients such as Claude Desktop to locate transit stops, check live departure schedules, and calculate mixed-mode journey options across different transportation networks. By interacting with the underlying TripGo routing engine, client models can evaluate different travel routes, inspect departure boards at specific public transit stations, and retrieve direct web links for previously calculated itineraries. This integration allows AI assistants to resolve complex navigation questions, assist users with everyday commuting decisions, and fetch transit timetables directly in chat without requiring external mapping applications or manual route lookups.

TripGo is a Model Context Protocol server that wraps the SkedGo TripGo API. It allows AI clients to fetch public transit departures, search for transport locations, and calculate multi-modal routes directly within conversational interfaces, combining various transportation methods into single journey plans.
The TripGo server exposes four core tools. The tripgo-locations tool retrieves transport-related stops and locations. The tripgo-departures tool provides departures from specific transit stops. The tripgo-routing tool performs mixed and multi-modal route planning, and tripgo-get-trip-url retrieves links to previously calculated trips.
Any client supporting the Model Context Protocol can connect to TripGo. It is commonly configured with Claude Desktop using the mcp-remote proxy tool. Other clients that support MCP remote connections via standard command proxies or direct HTTP endpoints can also use its transit tools.
The public TripGo MCP server is deployed remotely on Cloudflare Workers. Users can connect to this shared instance directly via mcp-remote, or clone the repository, set up a local environment with an API key, and host it independently using Cloudflare Wrangler.
