Taskade is an MCP server that connects AI assistants to the Taskade workspace platform using the Model Context Protocol. Software engineers, project managers, and automated agents use it to access, organize, and update workspace content through automated commands in their development tools. The server equips LLM clients with over 60 dedicated tools to interact directly with Taskade resources, including workspaces, folders, projects, blocks, and individual tasks. Users can manage assignees, update custom field values, set due dates, and track completion states. Beyond baseline task management, the MCP server handles AI agent operations across folders. Assistants can generate autonomous agents from prompts, configure their system behavior, connect projects or media files as dedicated knowledge bases, and hold interactive agent conversations. It also enables spinning up projects from predefined workspace templates, organizing media files, and establishing project share links from local or remote programming environments.

Taskade MCP Server is an integration server implementing the Model Context Protocol that lets AI clients interact with the Taskade productivity platform. It exposes tools for managing workspaces, projects, tasks, media, and autonomous AI agents.
You can run the server directly using npx by executing npx -y @taskade/mcp-server inside your MCP client settings. You must generate a personal access token from your Taskade account settings and provide it via the TASKADE_API_KEY environment variable.
It functions with any MCP-compatible environment, including Claude Desktop, Cursor, Windsurf, Cline, and VS Code. It can also operate as a standalone HTTP and SSE service on a local port for custom network integrations.
The server offers 62 tools to list workspaces, create and organize projects, manage task assignees and due dates, instantiate projects from templates, manage folders, and create or chat with autonomous AI agents attached to specific workspace knowledge bases.
