Rongcloud Native MCP is an MCP server that provides access to Rongcloud instant messaging services by wrapping the underlying Rust SDK via Python. It connects LLM-powered interfaces and AI clients directly to Rongcloud's chat infrastructure. Developers, support teams, and AI engineers use this server to automate communication workflows across enterprise chat networks and individual conversations. The server enables AI assistants to send direct private text and image messages to specific users, dispatch announcements or updates to group chats, and retrieve historical conversation records for context. It also supports retracting prior messages using structured message identifiers. The integration initializes the underlying instant messaging engine on demand during the first tool call and automatically cleans up active sessions when disconnected. Operating over standard input and output (stdio), it supports multiple global data centers including Beijing, North America, Singapore, and Saudi Arabia, alongside private cloud deployment environments.

pip install uv. 2. Open your client settings (such as Cursor Settings -> MCP -> Add new global MCP server). 3. Add rongcloud-native-mcp-python to your mcpServers configuration using the uvx command: json { "mcpServers": { "rongcloud-native-mcp-python": { "name": "rongcloud-native-mcp-python", "type": "stdio", "command": "uvx", "args": ["rongcloud-native-mcp-python"], "env": { "APP_KEY": "your_app_key", "TOKEN": "your_token", "AREA_CODE": "1" } } } } 4. For private cloud deployments, add the optional NAVI_URL and STATS_URL environment variables instead of AREA_CODE. 5. Restart your client to apply the settings.Part of MCP Servers
First install the uv tool using pip install uv. Then add rongcloud-native-mcp-python to your MCP configuration file using uvx as the execution command, passing your APP_KEY and TOKEN in the env object.
The server provides tools to send private and group text messages, dispatch private and group image messages with thumbnails, retrieve conversation history for users and groups, and recall previously sent messages.
It functions with standard input and output MCP clients including Cursor, Cline, Claude Desktop, and Cherry Studio. Note that Cherry Studio requires both UV and Bun installed in your environment.
A yellow status circle in Cursor typically indicates that the uv binary cannot be found or the server failed to start. Ensure uv is installed globally, restart Cursor, and toggle the server switch.
Public cloud users can set the AREA_CODE variable to 1 for Beijing, 2 for Singapore, 3 for North America, 4 for Singapore B, or 5 for Saudi Arabia. Private cloud deployments use custom navigation URLs.
