Qase MCP Server is an MCP server that connects AI assistants to the Qase test management platform. Built for software QA engineers, developers, and test leads, this integration exposes essential Qase API operations directly inside MCP-compliant clients such as Cline and Claude. The server enables users to list available projects, search test cases by project code or suite identifier, and generate individual or bulk test cases complete with preconditions, postconditions, and actionable steps. Users can also organize testing hierarchies by creating test suites and schedule verification efforts through new test runs containing selected case identifiers. Furthermore, existing test cases can be updated with modified descriptions, step instructions, priorities, severity levels, and execution layers. By bridging language models with Qase, teams can automate test documentation, draft test matrices from requirements, and manage their quality assurance lifecycle without context switching.

bash npm install 2. Build the server binary: bash npm run build 3. Register the server in your MCP client configuration (e.g., cline_mcp_settings.json): json { "mcpServers": { "qase": { "command": "node", "args": ["path/to/qase-mcp-server/build/index.js"], "env": { "QASE_API_TOKEN": "your-api-token" }, "disabled": false, "autoApprove": [] } } } 4. Restart the client to load the Qase tools.Part of MCP Servers
Ensure you have Node.js v22.17.0 and TypeScript installed. Clone the repository, run npm install to fetch dependencies, and build the project using npm run build. Then add the built index.js script and your Qase API token to your client settings file.
The server allows AI assistants to interact with the Qase API. It provides tools to fetch project lists, retrieve test cases, create suites, generate single or bulk test cases, update existing case details, and launch new test runs.
It works with any client supporting the Model Context Protocol, including Cline and Claude Desktop, configured via local JSON settings with Node.js execution and the required QASE_API_TOKEN environment variable.
According to the project documentation, Qase MCP Server is distributed under the ISC open source license.
