Miro is an MCP server that integrates Miro REST API v2 directly with Model Context Protocol clients. Built for designers, product managers, developers, and agile teams, this server enables automated whiteboarding, visual project planning, and collaborative canvas management through natural language instructions. It provides over 40 distinct tools covering full board lifecycles and content generation. Users can programmatically create, read, update, and delete visual assets including sticky notes, text blocks, structured cards, geometric shapes, flowcharts, connectors, and embedded web media. It also supports spatial organization tools such as frames, tags, and groups. Advanced capabilities include bulk batch operations that execute updates across up to 20 canvas items simultaneously, granular board sharing permissions, member access administration, and experimental webhook handling. By bridging AI assistants with Miro, teams can construct diagrams, translate meeting notes into visual boards, organize task backlogs, and maintain visual documentation without leaving their editor or conversation interface.

Miro provides over 40 tools that interact with the Miro REST API v2. It can manage boards, create sticky notes, shapes, cards, text, and connectors, organize items into frames and tags, batch process up to 20 items at once, and share boards with collaborators.
You can install it via npx by referencing the @aditya.mishra/miro-mcp package in your MCP client settings. You will need to obtain a Miro OAuth token with boards:read and boards:write permissions from the Miro Developer Portal and assign it to the MIRO_OAUTH_TOKEN environment variable.
This server works with any Model Context Protocol compliant client. Verified configurations include Claude Desktop, Cursor, Cline, Zed Editor, and Continue.dev, using standard npx execution parameters.
Bulk operations are limited to a maximum of 20 items per request. Sticky notes and tags require predefined color names instead of hex values. When creating connectors, both linked items must already exist on the board, and text elements only support width adjustments rather than height.
